Overview
Flockz redefines casual dining for Orlando's student community. In a market saturated with predictable concepts and visual noise, I built a brand that speaks Gen Z's language. . . literally. This is a community hub where students unwind over wings in a space designed specifically for them.
Brand Strategy
My early research found competitors were struggling with inconsistent identities or forced attempts at relevance.
Flockz found its place by focusing on the target audience's visual and verbal language: high-energy colors, confident typography, and a brand voice that feels native to social feeds rather than corporate decks.
By establishing and building on the brand's attributes, Flockz didn’t just stand apart from competitors, but also transformed its customers into collaborators, proving that when design speaks authentically, engagement follows organically.
Visual Strategy
The wordmark uses a custom version of Podium with hand-drawn edges, which keeps it grounded and human instead of corporate-clean while still holding up in print.
Podium carries the headlines too, bold enough to grab attention without tipping into harsh. Bebas Neue handles supporting text, chosen for its range across condensed and expanded weights so the system stays consistent no matter where it's applied.
